Info about Mr. Appel

    Mr. Appel is the principal of Chilton Elementary School.  He received his Bachelor's Degree in physical education/health kindergarten - twelfth grade and his Master's Degree in educational administration from the University of Iowa.  Mr. Appel has over 15 years experience in coaching   football, baseball, basketball, and golf.   Mr. Appel has been a soldier in the military since 1986 and currently  is a major in the army reserves.  Mr. Appel is very active in both his state and national association "AWSA", Association of School Administrators and "NAESP", National Association of Elementary School Principals serving on major committees in each.  He is active in the community by  being involved in the Chilton Lions Club, Area Community Theater, his local church and the Chilton PTA.  Performing on stage in the theater and hunting turkeys are two of the passions that he enjoys most.   His family consists of his wife, Michelle,  a son Jordan, and a daughter Stephanie.
